The Friends of Ishinomaki Association aims to affirm the concept of twinning as a tool capable of generating and promoting peace, friendship and brotherhood among peoples. With various initiatives it seeks to promote the centuries-old history that links the city of Civitavecchia to the Japanese city of Ishinomaki with conferences, debates, courses on culture and language and events that can contribute to enhancing cultural diversity and constructive confrontation of traditions, involving institutions, citizens, schools and associations that share goals and objectives in a climate of solidarity.
