 Kizumonogatari film anime 1

Finally complete the Kizumonogatari movie that tells us the prequel of the Bakemonogatari series. The past, Araragi and Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade seen only in small flashes. Their story joins the meeting with Tsubasa Hanekawa.

The film has been divided into three episodes that have made their appearance in the Japanese cinema at different times, in different years, you could say given the length of the series.

The first episode, titled "Tekketsu" released in Japanese theaters in January 2016,  during 64 minutes, directed by Akiyuki Shinbo and Tatsuya Oishi, show and talk aboout the two meetings of our protagonist, Koyomi Araragi, which will mark the life, For good and for bad.
The encounter with the Venerable 500-year-old Vampire who asks him to save her; The encounter with the formid and curious Tsubasa Hanekawa. I do not go further in the plot so as not to give you too many spoilers :)

The second episode, titled "Nekketsu", released in Japanese theaters in August 2016, also dured 64 minutes kept the same directors, shows us the first steps of vampire Araragi, certainly not easy since it has to fight 3 Vampire hunters (human, semi-human and vampire) to help his "master" to recover her power.

The third episode titled "Reiketsu", see the same director managing the film, but the duration is even greater, because the final events needed more time for explanation and its release in cinemas from January 2017.

In this last episode Araragi has to confront with his "master" Kiss-Shot, a very pulp battle, long and with a final that .... Well! Nothing spoiler ;)

Although our patience it was repayed in my opinion. I was very happy with the series for several reasons.

The first in absolute is to have finally covered that empty narrative that had just been mentioned with flashes in the first episode of Bakemonogatari. Understanding what happened to Araragi, how the events took place in that short period of time that he was vampired was very interesting, as well his encounter with Kiss-Shot and the Hanekawa. About the latter in the three episodes there is a lot of fan service, especially in the last movie :D

Graphics and texture rewrite recall the anime series that we know well, so in turn-by-turn narrative it is complicated to follow the various quick and descriptive sequences, though they do not make important information anyway. I liked this continuity, it's easier to connect to the series that has already been released and carry the Saga of this story. Just as the designs are very well cared for, following them are pleasing to the sight.

If you are passionate about this series i am sure it's worth seeing the 3 episodes. At the moment you can find all the serie with english subtitle (the bluray has been released these days in Japan) is available only with English sub. I leave you with some photos taken from the special edition of the movies that you find in blu-ray.
